The beginnings of Venmore, Thomas & Jones dates back to the 1890s when Thomas & Jones was founded.

The founding partners, Messrs Thomas and Jones, were archetypal estate estates - they managed rows of terraced houses which were let on weekly tenancies; they collected the rent; organised repairs; dealt with re-letting and acted, usually on behalf of others, though sometimes they were landlords themselves.
